On Tuesday morning, girls in grades 7 & 8 are invited to try out for our basketball team. On Tuesday afternoon, our grade 7s will be attending a presentation by York Region Police on Cyberbullying. It is an opportunity for our students to learn how to be safe while using social media and where to go for help. This ties directly to a digital citizenship unit they are currently engaged in.
On Wednesday afternoon, our grade 2 team will be presenting "December Lights, December Nights", a celebration of culture and traditions at this time of year.
On Friday afternoon, our Grades 4,5 & 6 will be entertained by a musical percussion group called TORQ. TORQ creates music using instruments created from recycled items. They illustrate for children how we can make music with our voices, our bodies and objects just lying around.
